i am here, i am here, i am here

I procrastinate--really...I do. There have been so many life events that I just sort of shut down and didn't post any of them. shame on me. Jared and Faith married, Hannah and Patrick moved. New year started for Sunday School--That is a biggie and I should post about Sunday School sometime. My dream of an Etsy shop is still unfulfilled. My dream of organizing the chaos of my crafty doodads and photos is unfulfilled. If something happens to me--I feel sorry for my children to have to do it. So.. I am going to quickly look through what I have uploaded to my computer, lo, these many moons and fill in the blanks of the last 4 months.

First I found this from the wedding--Candy will probably want to hurt me--but she is so cute. The reason this photo is here is I love my sister and I'm glad there was a wedding so she could come visit--AND her son Matt, my handsome nephew got to come--It had been a long time since I had seen him. I should devote a whole post to the A#1 Thank you note he wrote to me last spring. It was a really good Thank you--It makes me want to send him things just so I can get a good letter.

Faith looked so pretty--Jared was getting ready to sing to her at the reception. And there is Barry and Ana and Haley!!

Here are the boy grandbabies--not too long ago but they have already changed--I have some pictures of Bright but can't find them.

Hey!! This is the upper Ferry--I love leaving a bit early for work on pretty days and taking the ferry-- It really doesn't take any longer UNLESS I'm in a line of cars and have to wait for the ferry to make a trip or 2 before me--it will only hold 3 vehicles. This was a month or so ago--Soon there will be pretty fall leaves to look at.

Grand kiddies

Jack and Hudson

Sweet baby Elijah --a little man with a tie :)

Bright and Krue
Hudson was napping--I dragged this little sofa from the front room and unfolded the little foam bed on it in front of our big couch.. and put in "Beauty and the Beast"
Nobody moved--seriously until it was over--start to finish!
This brought to mind ...
A very fond memory--waiting for Daddy (Jason) to come home from his night job (while he was in seminary) on Friday nights. He often got home before 9 instead of after 10. I would pull out the sleeper sofa--Make Caramel Corn--and the 4 of us would get on the "bed"--Jason, me, Hannah (4) and Jared(2) and watch the little 12 inch black and white tv that sat across the room on top of the 2 ton upright piano. It didn't matter what was on--on that little BW set.

So--I'm thinking 65 quarts is enough--I am NOT going back--
the season is about done--harder to pick--my knees and back hurt more now--
more rotten ones--eeewww--
Then it hits me--ALL THOSE STRAWBERRIES that my DH paid for(to support my picking obsession) and all in freezer or given away--
and NO strawberry pie for DH! NOT ONE!
How could I?!!
For the 30 years we've been married--
when I say--
"I made a treat..."
he responds by saying..(EVERY TIME, MIND YOU--even in December)
"Shoney's Strawberry Pie?"
shoney's! whatever! (I have no idea how shoney's made their pie!)
So I went back this morning before the rains were coming. just to pick enough for a pie for dh. Picked 14 more quarts (that would be some pie) Finally pulled myself away cause I was dehydrated, wobbling around, and had to use the ladies' room)

Made 2 pies. Look at that RED!!! not a drop of food coloring--No strawberry jello--just berries, water, cornstarch and sugar. Those berries are something else. WOW. Get the whipped cream and let's have PIE!

ode to red

red was hot
red was cool

then red fell into a pool...of water.

now red Is dead.

i feel a fool.

boohoo

Yes--I think I may have ruined my sweet little juke phone
the phone that tied me by an ever so slender thread to "hipness" --

at least i FELT hip and cool.

And I just spent 25 buckos on a new more comfortable headset to listen to music on it. Rats.

Double Rats!!
Well my old phone is out and juiced up so at least I HAVE a PHONE--and the juke is drying out--I used a hairdryer for a bit but no go--

It was candy apple red like my camera and it was just a bit of self-expression that seemed to say--
"Hey This isn't just another jumper-clad homeschool mom(grandma)!"
better than getting a tattoo--that really would have said something--!!!???

Li'l Orphan Annie

This is the last bit of Annie Curry reciting Li'l Orphan Annie by James Whitcomb Riley I think--(at Coffee house)I used my camera to video so not great quality--It was great--She said she used to say it when washing her grand daughter's hair at the sink :)

The sisters was a bit too long for blogger but I'll try to get it up with something else--

sorry --I'm still here--just distracted--

Hudson and Elijah chill'n at the beach. And it WAS a chilly day in April.

I know it's bad I haven't posted in so long--

I hope I'll get my thoughts together soon and something to say

So many go to facebook now--I got discouraged--I don't have time to figure out facebook--

Since my last blog--Bright has gained another year--so has Hudson

Linnea came home for Easter--and we (Hannah, Linnea, Jason and I took all the little ones to Ocean City)

We got to see Jim and Marianna and hear about the intriging and vital work they do in Ukraine. Kolya and Jeanne have moved to Salisbury, They add a bit of brightness --I'm glad they are here.

We've had an awesome coffee house performance night at our church ALL really good

but 2 standouts were Marie and Flo singing "sisters" by Irving Berlin and Annie Currie reciting Li'l Orphan Annie--with maybe the best reading of that poem -EVER!! "the goblins gonna git you if you don't watch out!"

had more pics but blogger slow tonight--

pajama pants and pops

I whipped up these little flannel pants for the kids--and so the next day babysitting (my long day) I thought I'd give them baths and put them on before supper--Bathed Hudson while other two were resting--that was easy peasy.

Well, Krue and Bright were excited to take a bath but the house was chilly--anyway--They (Bright mostly) yelled the whole time--too cold--too hot --I OBVIOUSLY did not know how to do it the way they are used to--so....
I will not be giving baths for a long time--once they were out and wrapped in a towel--everybody was happy.
Jason hardly ever drops by while I am babysitting--Of course this was the day--I didn't hear him come in--He arrived at the most UNHAPPY time of the bath--
Oh Well

happy kiddies

We have a lot of fun the days I babysit. Bright is holding "PONY' --He has evolved into her security blanket, sort of--she likes to have him with her everywhere--Bright is really funny--I don't know if any of her "animals" have names--this one is just "pony".--and he is well on his way to looking like the velveteen rabbit.

"bust his head!"

Random sibling conversation:-)

This and that

Enjoying an ice cream treat from pops.

We had a really good time at our little zoo with Aunt Hannah and Pops.

Krue and Bright were amazingly good little applesauce makers.

Ladybug, Ladybug

Last week we were outside and Bright found a ladybug. It refused to crawl onto Krue's Hand--After many tries--it did and he was so excited he flapped his hands and it fell--lost in the grass--about 5 minutes later--it emerged again--and Bright scooped it up. I was trying to get a picture of it crawling on her--and the "Ladybug Song" was an unexpected bonus!!

He's on the Move

No stopping him now--after a few days of turning in circles, Hudson has figured out how to go FORWARD. And he is as cute as a bug. I know this is probably more interesting to me--a grandma. (That's Krue's foot at the end)

Krue

THE DEATH STARE

I don't remember what was going on--but I don't think Krue was pleased! Please double click on this to see it BIG--Krue's face is a study in aggravation :-)

BEN AND JANIE

WHEN BEN came to visit--I was supposed to post these for Linnea--oops.

Is late better than never?

Our cute little funny face

we kind of think Hudson looks like Nick--Stacey's dad--but something about his facial expressions have a family resemblance to the Joel and Ashley Wingo babies--sort of.
